Surprise pregnancy announcement and Christmas brunch

Morning mamas! In honor of Christmas weekend, we’ve got this beautiful and super clever pregnancy announcement surprise from Kate Rose Creative Group with photos by Brittany Jean Photography. Finding out she was pregnant after years of infertility, Katelyn knew she had to find the most meaningful way to share the news with her fam. Enter a styled shoot turned surprise announcement…

The centerpiece was made up of holiday greens + 45 pillar candles. Totally a tablescape you could recreate on a budget for tons of special occasions.

With it being my job to make celebrations special for other people, I decided to put together a “styled” shoot for the holidays. I contacted all of my immediate family and told them that I was asked by a blog to design a Christmas shoot featuring family for the holidays. I asked them to all wear creams, grey and dark greens and gold jewelry… I had to make it sound legit! Little did they know that I set up this “shoot” as a way to get them all together in one place, and also have a photographer capture their reactions.

You so want to whip something like this up before the year’s over now, don’t you? Us too.

She knew she had to go all out when she was finally told the good news, especially with fertility treatments making it so hard to make it a surprise.

Once everyone arrived I gave them the instructions to find their name tags and that the first thing we are going to do is open gifts because the blog needs a gift shot. Little did they know that inside the “fake gifts” was a Christmas ornament that said “Joy” with a tag that said “Our little bundle of joy is due July 2017″. Needless to say they were shocked! There was a lot of screaming, crying and hugging. Joy all around.
