How sweet is this handsewn fox mobile that Karla of Written Word Calligraphy whipped up for her good friend Nadia of Nadia Hung Photography‘s fox-themed baby shower? Naturally Karla also created the most darling invites (see below!) and her gal Heather of Myrtle et Olive wrapped it all up into a charming winter theme:

Karla of Written Word Calligraphy says, My partner in crime Heather from Myrtle et Olive is a very talented florist and event stylist, and we both hosted this shower for our lovely friend Nadia. Our mom-to-be, Nadia, had always loved the little fox from the book The Little Prince, so when we asked what her favorite animal was, she said it was a fox and it had a lot of meaning to her. So, coming from our wedding background we certainly wanted to make this special time for our friend’s first baby incredibly memorable. We were so excited to hear that she was having a baby girl, so we paired various shades of gray (from cool to warm) and light blush shades. The first impression started with a fox themed invitation, hand painted in watercolor by myself, paired with nude gray colored envelopes and glassine envelopes. 

Yum!

They also strung fluffy rain drops and clouds around to celebrate their fall baby.

Activity time! K says, For our shower games, of course we had to make sure everything was still in theme so we created fox cards for the various games. We had a “How much is it?” game, a “Nadia or Victor” game based on their baby stats, and then we had to guess the mom-to-be’s waist which was really quite an amusing game because we draped all our guesses on her.
