Jillian’s summery baby boy shower
Exciting news friends! Our Real Weddings Editor Jillian’s second little man, baby Dax, is arriving any day now. Eeee! Seemed like the perfect time to share the photos her hubs, Scott Clark, took at the baby shower we threw for her with our friend Audrey a couple weeks back. It was quite the perfect summery morning, if we do say so ourselves!
Audrey picked out these cute invites by Rifle Paper Co. through Paperless Post.
And we chose these pretty summery napkins by Heather Taylor Home to add a little color to the table. Did you know you can rent her linens for events?
We tapped our favorite cake baker of all time, Danielle of Sheila Mae, to whip up one of her amazing confections. Who doesn’t need a slice of something sweet after a few mimosas?
LOVE how the custom wall decal made by our friends at Blik adds the perfect personal touch to the shower. Anne Robin wrote the message and Blik created and even installed the decal for us!
Love us some wild florals for a summery party! Honey and Poppies always puts together such lovely and interesting arrangements!
There’s our mama-to-be! Her dress is from ASOS, FYI.
Isn’t it nice when you can count on your friends arriving in coordinating outfits? So unplanned but so awesome.
As a keepsake, we made Jillian a sweet little wall hanging using the colors and vibe of her nursery (which we’re sharing soon too!).
And finally… the foooooood! What brunch is all about. We put together a yummy bagel bar with all the toppings we could think of, including smoked salmon, homemade scallion-dill cream cheese, heirloom tomatoes, Reed avocados (the very best if you haven’t tried!), and lots of other summery produce. Seriously the perfect time of year to top these guys! Plus we made a big salad and ordered up frittatas from Gjusta, one of our favorite local spots in Venice. It really was a simple meal but SO good!
Then there’s the presents! Never get tired of opening adorable tiny clothes. Everything is always so cute!
Congratulations Scott and Jillian! We cannot wait to meet your new little boy.
