DTLA baby shower at The Unique Space
You’ve heard of The Unique Space, yes? The industrial brick interior + DTLA location makes it kinda unconventional for baby showers, but boy do we love seeing when mamas and party people in general take risks and do their thing. Being from NY, Jennifer of Heart and Camera was drawn to the idea of an urban setting for her shower’s venue and as you can see in all the shots by To Love Photographie, it was a fantastic choice.
Jennifer says, One of my favorite details was the chalkboard above the bar. My sister is an artist and she sketched the chalk art above the bar. The garland by Honeycomb Affair framed it perfectly and together it created a beautiful focal point at the event. It was so special for me to have my sister contribute her art to my shower.
One of Jennifer’s best friends, Mana of Royal Grey, scent styled the event with diptyque. Now she’ll forever think of that day when she comes across one of the scents featured. Cute!

I’m originally from New York and I really loved the urban setting of the space. We also loved the furniture already present in the space so we didn’t feel the need to bring in any. With that in mind, we chose not to do a sit down meal so guests could mingle and talk. My sister-in-law put together a beautiful spread of light bites for the guests to enjoy.
