It’s always fun when a photographer gets to capture a friend’s family over time… It not only shows how the little ones have grown but how the photog has too. Elizabeth Clark used to photograph mama Suz even back in their high school days, so she’s no stranger to the camera. This time Elizabeth got to document the whole fam, including their two boys who will soon be welcoming a new baby bro!

Elizabeth says, When Suz asked if I would be interested in heading down to the Cape for a family session, I knew I was in for a treat. That morning there was some hesitation about the on-off drizzly weather, but I am so happy we stuck it out because overcast and threatening weather often provides the most luminous and atmospheric lighting.

I had so much to work with here: a graceful seaside home worn-in with memories, a scenic location right on the water, the damp, salty air, and, of course, a beautiful, loving family. There is something quite special about the family tradition of vacationing on the New England coast.
