California baby shower on the East Coast
When planning one of their talented floral designer’s baby shower, Rhode Island based Flowers by Semia had two main sources of inspo: Stephanie’s love of paper art + her West Coast dreams. (Oh hey, two of our fave things too!) See how it came together in these shots by Erin McGinn Photography after the jump.
Don’t papaya and jackfruit make pretty good décor? They also used crystals, poppies, and mix and match textiles to give everything California’s ever so lovely desert chic vibe.
Origami paper flowers sprung from nooks in the brick walls of the studio, and a huge geometric installation hung over the table, both created by artist Joyce Kutty Designs. Geometric gold paper also lined the table like a runner and everyone dined at one long white farm table and found their seat with place cards hung on teeny tiny air plants. A feast of homemade Mexican food, tacos, sangria and tropical juices was created by the team and served buffet style throughout the space.
Eeeek, can’t get enough of those poppies!
California gal approved for sure. Congrats to mama Stephanie!
