These photos from AMBphoto are kind of a gorgeous baby shower + newborn shoot in one. It was designed by mom to be Jen of Amy & Jen Décor, who was admitted to the hospital four days before the shower, at just 32 weeks, where she stayed until the birth. Needless to say they rescheduled for her return, with healthy babe Hudson Patrick as guest of honor. Hear her story in the post!

Jen + her husband Simon wanted to keep everything gender neutral, of course expecting that the baby wouldn’t be making an appearance for the festivities. Turned out to be so perfect, dontcha think?

Jen says, Diagnosed with severe preeclampsia, the doctor said I would be staying put until the birth… On October 26, 2015, our beautiful and healthy little man entered the world. It was the best day of my life. My little day of love happened exactly as it was meant to be. My friends and family had hours of newborn cuddles and I had the pleasure of introducing our beautiful babe. 

In full craving mode, this mama definitely put lots of love into the sweets! The Girl with the Most Cake, Hello Baked, & Megan Scott Cakes were all involved. Her thank yous: The biggest thank you to my incredible vendors for being super sweet and accommodating and a lot of love to my mother in law who slaved away in the kitchen to create the most perfect naked sponge cake, my mom who drove around the entire city to ensure my wish list was met, and my beautiful twin sister who hosted. A special thank you to my dear friend Anne-Marie Bouchard of AMBphoto who has captured all my most favorite moments.
