Bright, rainbow baby shower by Color Pop Events
It’s always fun when industry pros come together for their own personal celebrations. When someone is used to throwing epic parties all year long, they’re bound to show their friends a good time too (no pressure, right?). For this rainbow baby shower Color Pop Events, Michelle Bablo, & H&H Weddings, ALL came together to shower their dear friend and colleague Gina with a colorful, pop-art-themed fête at Brooklyn’s Sky Gallery. They got all sorts of colorful decor goodies from the ever-bright Oh Happy Day Shop.
From the team: One of our favorite details of the shower was incorporating Gina’s pregnancy hashtag (#softcarbbaby), a reference to comparing your unborn baby to the size of soft carbs rather than fruits and vegetables. The hashtag inspired the photo booth props and made an appearance on some of the paper goods as well as a keepsake pillow we had made. Then, to send this baby shower completely over the top, we hired a drag queen to surprise Gina and perform a few songs. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more special day to shower one of the most incredible women we know with love. (See below!)

A recap from mama to be Gina…
For me 2015 feels like it might have been the most pivotal year of my life. It’s the year I learned about event styling and was introduced to the crazy and ever evolving world of NYC events. But more importantly, through this wacky world of events, parties and weddings I was connected with some of the most amazing ladies I will ever have the pleasure and privilege of calling friends.
It is also the year where I gained another title… Soon to be mother. It’s been a whirlwind journey of styled shoots, epic wedding installations and sleepless nights of completing handcrafted decor that has allowed me to learn more about myself and my capabilities as a creative and I hope to bring those skills to my next chapter of motherhood… I am just BEYOND honored to have had the pleasure of experiencing the most perfect manifestation of love and celebration.
