No surprise that the sweet newborn shoot from Kaley Cornett of the Watters family is just as lovely as the maternity photos we shared earlier today. They home looks like just about the most perfect place to land as a tiny little thing. Lots of warm arms to hold you. Lots of love to go around. And we have a little interview with Amanda to share about life with three after the jump!

Kaley put together this little interview with Amanda, and it’s so sweet we thought you all might like to read it too.

What is your number one take-away this year when it comes to motherhood?
When is comes to motherhood I always try and remember that everything is a phase. From the things we love and hold dear like little cuddles in the morning and nursing our babies to sleep and when our toddlers mispronounce words, to the more difficult aspects of motherhood, like tantrums and middle of the night cries. All of these short but sweet moments are worth holding onto and savoring because each is so fleeting. When in the middle of a hard motherhood moment, I do my best to remember that this stage is not forever and soon my little one will no longer be doing it. I have found though sometimes difficult, it is best to just embrace it all, enjoying each phase of childhood as it comes.

What is your favorite thing about Alfie?
Oh, my Alfie Francis. I’d have to say his smell and smile. He just smells so darn good, I find myself sniffing him all day long and I wish I could bottle it right up! It’s truly my current favorite pastime. He is also my first baby to consistently smile while still so little. I love that.

How have you felt during our shoots?
I adore shoots with Kaley because they are just very natural and easy going. She is in tuned to how photographing little ones can be, thus having an open mind if needing to redirect on a whim. I really appreciate that.

Any advice to mamas?
Take time for yourself. Give yourself grace. Know that you are doing your best even if some days your best is a total flop. Motherhood is very hard and exhausting and it’s important to nurture yourself so you can take care of your little ones. This is advice I myself am trying to follow!
