Don’t you love when a birthday party has a sweet story behind it? Kelsey of Mattson Made (seems like just yesterday we were sharing her moody maternity sesh that Sarah Culver also captured here on Cakelet!) and her hubs named their boy Grady after All The Pretty Horses, so they wanted his first birthday fête to have a cowboy-ish feel. Enter lots of subtle western details and one very happy birthday boy, too.

Fresh eucalyptus = the best easy, simple, pretty party decor, right?

They set up a little bloody Mary bar and lawn games to make sure everyone had a good time, including all the friends without little ones. Such a good idea!
