Blue & yellow, gender neutral baby shower ideas
We became instant fans of Anders Ruff after secretly wishing we were invited to this Dinosaur excavation 6th birthday party. They pretty much design, style & throw the best parties. This one, while it wasn’t a real party per se, has so many cute ideas for a gender neutral baby shower. Mint, lime, yellow and aqua- totally a recipe for a great party, right?
For a bit of a play on the old craving pickles during pregnancy myth (did you?), they upcycled baby food jars, added homemade baby pickles and embellished the lids with yarn.
A perfect go-to party snack would definitely be cucumber sandwiches. They stacked white bread with cream cheese & cucumber and added lemon peel to the top with a printable flag.
See those rattle topped cupcakes? They used Target cupcakes and embellished them with yarn backed cupcake toppers. (To make the yarn backing – glue yarn in a circular shape onto cardstock and trim around the edges. Use double sided to hide the paper!).
This simple little cake was a $12 plain white Target cake. They just added mini yarn poms (cute!) and topped it off with a printable flat label from their baby shower printable collection.
Ladies, we love it all!
