Amelia’s sweet pea baby shower
This gorgeous baby shower comes from our good friend Catherine, who planned it for her friend Amelia, at her home in Oakland. She and Terry hosted the party and made all the decor themselves, and asked Laurie of Gather West Photography to capture it to share with all of us.
Love the dip-dyed pinks everywhere! Kind of reminiscent of Kelly’s bohemian baby shower by Bash Please, don’t you think?

Guests were asked to sign in using their nickname as a child. Isn’t that awesome? Great conversation starter throughout the whole party. Catherine’s nickname (as seen below) was Pinecone. Awww.
Guests were given the opportunity to create a flag for a paper garland in Amelia’s nursery.

Love those ice cubes frozen with olives inside. Perfect for a bloody mary bar.
Loads of beautiful food, beautiful guests, lots of love and celebrating, even if the party was rained out.
Beautiful tarts came from La Farine, and flowers from the Oakland flower market.
Catherine made her own seed bomb bags, but you can order them from Anthropologie too if you’re not graphically inclined.

Thanks for posting this event ladies! It was so much fun to produce and Laurie did an excellent job at capturing the right moments and the perfect mood. I was thrilled to have worked with her. She was very thorough, shot everything I wanted, and also was flexible enough to shoot beyond the list and improvise. Loved it. Thanks Laurie!
